My friend, photo documentarian, Larry Towell, traded me a sony dsc50 digital still camera for some audio work he needed done. After exploring the still side of things i discovered that it would shoot 15 seconds of glorious mpg. I liked this limiting factor. No editing or added audio, what goes in is what comes out. The camera had some very interesting effects built in and they were also put to good use. I likened it to cinematic zen brush painting.

My moving picture career had begun.
